Participation is a process that mobilizes local resources, utilizes diverse social groups in decision making, locals engage in defining problems, collecting and learning information and implementing projects.<br> The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of social capital in promoting neighborhood participation and optimal urban management in two neighborhoods (five hundred employees of the staff) of Dongnbodan city. They were selected from different neighborhoods for the particular neighborhood of the city. Using self-made questionnaire, 381 people over 18 years of age were evaluated. Data and Pearson correlation coefficient, Spearman correlation coefficient and for Kolmogorov-Smirnov test were used for normalization. They were analyzed by SPSS software. The questionnaire had acceptable validity. SPSS software was used to analyze the results.
