Abstract

Introduction: Sustainable neighborhood development is a perspective that believes that solving the current problems of cities depends on returning to the concept of neighborhood. The neighborhood is the most fundamental unit of urban development, and the minor scale of attention to various aspects of sustainability as an urban unit with greater control over the city and as a good level for testing new ideas and ways to achieve sustainable urban development has received increasing attention. However, no extensive studies have been conducted on this concept on a micro-scale, and its implementation and quantifying the relationships between the various components of sustainability is also an important issue that has been neglected.
Methodology: The present study aims to assess the impact of physical - spatial, economic, socio-cultural, transportation and communications, environmental, governance - management on the sustainability of neighborhoods in Javadiyeh Neighbourhood District 16 of Tehran sample was formed. Accordingly, after reviewing the literature related to the issue of sustainability, a conceptual model of the research was formed. Then a questionnaire was surveyed from the residents of the study neighborhood. It should be noted that according to the Cochrane formula, the statistical population includes 381 people. In this study, data analysis was performed using the structural equation modeling method and Smartpls software.
Results: The results showed that the three paths "governance-management →economic → socio-cultural", "governance-management → economic → sustainability of neighborhoods" and "economic → socio-cultural → environment" With the coefficients of 4/898, 3/208, and 1/988, respectively, were the essential paths influencing citizens' perception of sustainability of neighborhoods and in general, the governance-management component was recognized as the most effective component in determining the sustainability of neighborhoods.
Conclusion: To improve sustainability in different areas, we can emphasize the need to use a strategic plan for sustainable urban development in which special attention is paid to the impact of different components of sustainability on each other.

Abstract

Introduction: New approaches to shopping and consumption as a form of leisure have caused new structures of commercial, service-entertainment spaces in the world, one of which is large-scale commercial centers (megamalls), and with the expansion and change of the behavior pattern of citizens based on consumerism in Cities and the construction of malls and mega malls as spaces that provide a platform for the development of consumer behavior patterns. In this regard, it is important to explain the effect of the characteristics of contemporary consumer society on the use of large-scale shopping centers and people's preferences in using these spaces, which is the main goal of this article.
Methodology:  According to the investigated components, the nature of the subject, and the research objectives, the ruling approach of this research was "descriptive-analytical" and "fundamental". The research method was quantitative, SPSS and AMOS statistical analysis software were used for data analysis, and the data analysis method is exploratory factor analysis and structural equations. Considering the data collection, a survey method was used. A questionnaire had been used as the main tool to collect data. The statistical population includes all the users using the space in Megamall Ekbatan, Tehran, and the sample size of the users using the space according to Cochran's formula. The unknown number of the statistical population was calculated as 384 people who were asked randomly.
Results: The results of the research indicated that the behavioral characteristics of the consumer society, which included indicators of the extent to which they showed themselves and others based on purchases from large-scale shopping centers, the tendency to use different clothing and behaviors to show themselves, a sense of superiority when shopping and referring to Large-scale shopping centers, the tendency to dress stylishly when visiting large-scale shopping centers, the more modern and contemporary nature of large-scale shopping centers, the amount of visits to shopping centers in prosperous areas of the city, the use of luxury goods when visiting large-scale shopping centers, the cost to meet the unnecessary needs and variety of goods has been large-scale shopping centers, it had the greatest effect on the use of large-scale shopping centers.
Conclusion: in the analysis of the structural equations of the influence coefficient of the use of Megamall Ekbatan, the most direct effects on the use of space in Megamall Ekbatan were related to the social and consumer society indicators, and indirectly to the economic and cultural indicators.

Abstract

This research aims to clarify the capacities of Advocacy planning in order to improve the social indicators of small cities by presenting a model of Advocacy planning in small cities. The current research is a part of applied and exploratory-explanatory research with a combined (qualitative-quantitative) method. In the qualitative part, through interviews with experts, including academic professors and executive officials of small cities in the north of Hamedan province, and using the phenomenological strategy and interview content analysis tactics (theme analysis) and the qualitative analysis software MAXQDA 2020 and the iMindMap software, 9 components of representative urban planning in small cities And the theme network diagram was presented. In the quantitative part of the research, it is a descriptive and contextual research, and in order to measure the content validity ratio and perform the steps of the Delphi technique, one-sample T-tests and Kendall's coefficient were used under SPSS version 26 quantitative software, and in order to measure the suitability of the quantitative model of the research, the confirmatory factor analysis method was used. With the help of tests of homogeneity, convergent and divergent validity, combined reliability test and Cronbach's alpha coefficient, PLS version 3 software was used. The statistical sample in the qualitative section was based on theoretical saturation based on the codes extracted from the interviews with the panel of experts and in the quantitative section 384 people were selected from the citizens and small towns in the north of Hamedan province, which included the cities of Kabudar Ahang, Rezen and Demaq. In the results obtained from the analysis of structural equations under PLS software, it was found that the Advocacy planning model obtained for small cities had a good fit in promoting social indicators and representative urban planning affects social indicators by 79%, so in general it can be concluded that There is an effective relationship between the capabilities of Advocacy planning and the promotion of social indicators in small cities, and it is expected that the research hypothesis will be confirmed in a larger sample of the same community (in other small cities)
