Nowadays people’s needs for increasing social interactions and mental and social needs have become one of the urban life requirements. In this paper, historical ranges of Si-O-Seh Pol on the Zayandehrood sidelines that has the potential to be a lively public space has been selected as the case area, although these days this place has become a crossing area due to heavy traffic jam of both Kamal Esmaeel and Motahari streets. This research aimed at recognition behavioral settings and patterns in the spaces around Si-O-Seh Pol (Enghelab square) in Isfahan. In this descriptive-analytical and applied research behavioral setting in the area has surveyed using fieldworks in order to find the most important behavioral patterns in places around Si-O-Seh Pol historical bridge. The results illustrate that behavioral pattern including: sitting, resting, talking, looking, buying, selling, pipe smoking, eating, drinking and taking pictures are the most significant patterns in this area. At the end of the paper some guidelines were submitted to optimize the relationship between behavior and physical environment in Si-O-Seh Pol (Enghelab square) in Isfahan.
