Measurement and evaluation of factors affecting vandalism in public green spaces Case study: Parks in District 11 of Tehran Metropolis. Haft Hesar J Environ Stud 2018; 6 (23) :67-80

Vandalism can impose financial, psychic or social effects on community as a social phenomenon. Considering that this phenomenon happens to public property or in the places which community obtain benefits of them, paying attention to it, is really important. In this search, effective components on vandalism in parks has been investigated. Parks as a public green area increases the sense of participation, sense attached and the sense of creating some lively places and vandalism mentions as a factor that reduce function of public green areas. In this regard current research with using analytical descriptive way and for testing effective components to vandalism use questionnaire. To determine the validity of the questionnaire, masters and experts opinions has been used and to assess the reliability Cronbach’s Alpha has been used. Sampling method was non-random-accidental and volume of sample society was chosen 300. Analysis is done. Data analysis was done using descriptive statistics and using SPSS software and variable exam software for unilabiate analysis of variance, and to studying background variables, Inference test of Landa and Gamma has been used and finally to measure the component’s effectiveness Regression testing and Path analysis has been used. Analysis results show that examined parks, social factors, spot location and individual factors respectively has the most effect dependent variable on vandalism. Finally it was identified that social and individual components directly and indirectly and spot location directly was effective on Vandalism.
