In the twenty-first century, cities face a lot of turmoil. The City Prosperity model, presented by United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat) in 2012, offers a new approach to urban flourishing and sustainability, and it is looking for a fundamental solution to improve the quality of life.
This article focuses on measuring the quality of life in the Narmak neighborhood of Tehran based on the extended model of City Prosperity Index (CPI-QL) which leads to the creation of an indigenous pattern for developing and improving the quality of life in cities.
The proposed model can be very effective in fulfillment of sustainable urban development, improving the quality of life and measuring the prosperity situation of cities in Iran and it can be presented as an indigenous and developed example of the global City prosperity model, which is a reliable measure for reviewing, analyzing and prioritizing urban actions. The method of data collection is through a questionnaire that is measured in the Narmak neighborhood of Tehran. Considering the wide range of indexes in this research, to summarize and achieve the main factors, the factor analysis method has been used for analyzing the data.
