Introduction: Physical identity means traits and characteristics that distinguish the city's body and the building from others and reveal its resemblance to the self. The facade of the building is also a part of the body of any city. It is an influential factor in identifying the urban complex, while the facade of the building is in disarray today, and this disorder in the urban landscape is primarily due to blind imitations and personal tastes of designers and a lack of analysis of ideas. Experts are in the operational phase and measuring its impact on citizens. Therefore, this study aims to re-identify the effectiveness of fifteen essential components proposed by Christopher Alexander in designing urban facades of Gilani buildings and their effect on creating a sense of belonging, life, and vitality for Gilani citizens.
Methodology: The study method is a library and survey through presentation (interviews and questionnaires), and to identify the effectiveness of the components, four hundred answers were used by data mining and data analysis techniques to extract incorrect answers to find the relationship between independent and dependent variables.
Results: The results of this study indicate that from the point of view of most citizens of vital centers, contrast, heterogeneity, space, echo, simplicity, good shape, demarcation, certain space, intermittent repetition, inseparability have the highest impact on creating a sense of belonging and vitality.
Conclusion: Respondents also have a completely different view of the local symmetry criterion from Alexander and prefer pure symmetry.
