Public spaces should be designed in such a way that they are the basis of processes that strengthen urban life. The existence of life in the city can cause more people to be present in the public spaces of the city. People are attracted to the activities and presence of other people unconsciously. The urban space and the events formed in it bring people together. If urban space is provided with a better quality, the use of space will increase reciprocally. The event place is a suitable factor and platform for the presence and activity of people. It is a suitable place to respond to the needs of society through social innovation. Social innovation causes the development of creative communities and more social activity in the urban public space. In this research, by reviewing a wide and diverse set of thematic and topical studies to know the event place and examine the challenges and ideas of society (including 129 articles), the research background of the innovative event location has been reviewed. To limit and select the sources more accurately, the articles were reviewed and evaluated in 7 stages and finally, it was limited to 39 articles, to understand the method, research process, and approach of the articles, based on Saunders' research onion structure, the collected sources were analyzed through quantitative and qualitative content analysis. The result shows that the research methodology related to the topic of "innovative event place" is based on qualitative studies relying on the descriptive strategy, which was carried out using documentary, library, and field survey information through qualitative analysis (pattern discovery and hermeneutics).  Finally, it was found that in the scope of the topic "innovative urban event place", despite conducting numerous types of research, Basic Research has not been used so far.
