The media, as the most influential tool available on people's minds and a driver of social, political, cultural, etc. activities, have an undeniable role in socializing members of society for neighborhood-oriented management, and therefore the present study was conducted with the aim of identifying the role of the national media in facilitating neighborhood-oriented socialization in the metropolis of Tehran. The research was applied in terms of purpose and exploratory in terms of data and based on the theme analysis approach. The qualitative research population was all experts in the field of media and urban management, and the sample size was conducted using theoretical saturation and snowball method. The quantitative population included managers and employees of neighborhoods and neighborhood councilors in Tehran, and the sample size was determined by Morgan's method of 380 people and was sampled using a multi-stage cluster random method. In the qualitative part, a semi-structured interview was used, and in the quantitative part, a researcher-made questionnaire was used. Qualitative data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis and quantitative analysis was conducted using exploratory factor analysis. The results of the qualitative section indicated 6 overarching themes, 12 organizing themes, and 47 basic themes. In the quantitative stage, all themes were confirmed by conducting an exploratory factor analysis as the roles of the national media in facilitating neighborhood-based socialization in Tehran, which include: technical themes (2 sub-themes and 7 primary codes), political themes (2 sub-themes and 7 primary codes), institutional themes (2 sub-themes and 10 primary codes), socio-cultural themes (2 sub-themes and 7 primary codes), managerial themes (2 sub-themes and 8 primary codes), and environmental themes (2 sub-themes and 8 primary codes). The results indicated that the national media, as the most influential media in the country, should facilitate neighborhood-based socialization in a completely operational and professional manner in various fields.
