Since entering the new century, Iranians architectural field treats the scientific thoughts of “Regionalism” and “Critical Regionalism” more and more rationally and gradually abandons shallow copy of “racialism”. This transfer of historical trend does not originate from the update of academic definition, but from cultural critical renewal of the traditional architectural culture for months and years. Iran's architecture, which, under contemporary Westernism, has forgotten its principles, which are considered to be one of the most important schools in the world of architecture. Also, the lack of attention to culture, which has been the antecedent effort for many years, is an issue that is affecting the current state of contemporary Iranian architecture. This research studies the necessity of critical regionalism in the development of Iranian architecture. Which addresses this issue in terms of the need to challenge the architecture of Iran, which is an architecture with Iranian originality, but with global technology. At first, the problem and goals of the research and the research method have been discussed. The research is also applied to the purpose of the research and then it is expressed in terms of theoretical concepts of the literature of the research and then the ideas of the architects and research background have been presented. One of the most fundamental issues in the challenge of regionalism approaches is its relevance to the modernist and global approach that has been addressed in this paper. In the remainder of the article, we tried to use the relationship or non-significant relationship between independent variables (manufacturing method and technology) and dependent variables (critical regionalism) to be tested for independence or correlation. Other objectives of this paper are to determine the variables that affect critical regionalism in architecture. In this paper, Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests, correlation coefficient and the new and advanced methods of partial least squares equation (VPLS), all of which are part of the SPSS research method, are used. The main result of this research is the existence of a meaningful relationship between (introversion, passion, self-affirmation, people, lack of futility) as the principles of Iranian architecture and regionalism in a field research. The ranking of the variables of the principles of Iranian architecture from the rank 1 to the end is as follows: self-affirmation, introversion, people's wisdom, avoidance of futility, nearness. Finally, in the result section with ranking of principles and evaluating the superiority of the index with the critical regionalization approach, it was revealed that self-esteem and introversion had the least impact on this issue, which means that the involvement of critical regionalism in historical texts It has the least impact on critical regionalism and can be viewed globally by preserving cultural and regional principles without forgetting the tradition. At the mean time, cultural diversity can not be a reason for protecting backward culture and refusing advanced one The aim of critical regional culture is not simply to “restore the old”, but also to integrate and innovate in the trend of cultural globalization.
