Background & Objectives: In the late 1980s, Antonovsky proposed salutogenic as if humans are dealing with stressful factors, if they have mental and spiritual coherence, they move towards health and otherwise towards illness. And the bad conditions of hospitals, the need to design treatment spaces based on salutogenic science is seen more and more to achieve improvement of treatment. The purpose of the research is to investigate the salutogenic factors in therapeutic spaces that are effective in improving the quality of treatment.
Methods: The present research is classified in the group of basic theoretical researches and Delphi methods and grounded theory have been used. The statistical population includes people and patients using the spaces. The sampling method is purposeful and stratified sampling, the sample size is 100 people. To analyze the data, SPSS and SmartPLS software were used. In the descriptive analysis, the descriptive statistics indicators of the research variables have been fully investigated. In the inferential statistics section, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was used to investigate research hypotheses, relationships between variables, and in other words, to generalize the results obtained from the sample to the research population.
Findings: Many problems of the lack of effective salutogenic factors (neuroscience, environmental psychology, decoration, physical and environmental factors) are observed in the examination of therapeutic environments, which are being promoted. The quality of treatment of patients is very important and effective, and this makes the importance of the topic, attention and use of salutogenic science vital and undeniable in therapeutic spaces.
Results: The findings show that design components based on salutogenic effects are very important and effective in improving the quality of treatment in therapeutic spaces. The use of these principles in the design of treatment spaces improves the quality of treatment.
